I am half-Singhalese, my dad is from Sri Lanka, my mom is german. Before I got married, my name was so long that it made a two-liner. I was born and grew up in Mannheim- Germany.

I love the movie "The fabulous destiny of Amélie Poulain";- according to the Meyer Briggs personality test, her character is even similar to me. I thought it was cool, but my husband finds it rather questionable. ;-)

I am spiritual and try to live that way every day. However, I don't always succeed and there are days when I just want to be loud and scream "shit". You never have to fit in just one box, that's what makes life multi-faceted.

I don't like my legs at all and i would like to be taller. However, I'm trying to bury the latter wish, because it's probably not going to happen in this lifetime.

As a kid I had extreme fear of flying and always vomited in airplanes. The more I flew, the better it got. Today, flying doesn't bother me at all.

I always spend the longest time in the children's book section. There are so many great books. I would love to write and illustrate one myself - but unfortunately I can't draw.

When my daughter was born, I thought for a few weeks and months that my life was over and that I would never again be free to make decisions. In 20 years I could still see myself sitting on the sofa breastfeeding or pushing the pram through the park.
